The Future is Bright

When is the last time you gave yourself a shout-out?

Like, literally, told someone that you were awesome?

When is the last time you hollered from the rooftops that your future is bright?

Living Life Out Loud

It’s one thing to be proud of your accomplishments, but it’s another to tell someone about them! We are conditioned to believe that promoting our talents and our successes is boastful. We are trained to be humble; to dim our light for the sake of others. Pride in self is seen as being egotistical, even boastful.

It is shunned. It is disliked.

Especially in women.

Women especially need to wear their achievements loudly and proudly.

My husband has a home office and on his wall he has this quote from Marianne Williamson’s book, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of “A Course in Miracles”:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

So very often it is our very power that frightens us. We shrink away from happiness. We fear success because for some reason or another, we worry that perhaps we don’t deserve it. These are things meant for ‘other people’. Society leads us to believe that abundant joy is not ours to have until we’ve accomplished this, that or the other. We hold ourselves back because we believe that is what we’re supposed to do.

I refuse to continue to condone this way of thinking.

Why?
Because I myself have believed it for far too long. By mistakenly teaching myself that happiness, abundance, and unconditional love were just not ‘for me’ for so many years, I have gotten in my own way time and again.

I have, in essence, blocked my blessings.

Man. I’m so done with that!

I am ready to serve the world. I am ready to shine. It is my time to give myself and others the permission and space to be great. I am powerful beyond measure.

Are you?

Yes, You Are!

You are one-of-a-kind, designed for greatness and destined to walk in your purpose. You have a light and you are doing the world a disservice when you prevent it from glowing. Just like when one tiny light goes out goes out on a chandelier, the balance is changed. That one little dull light changes the mood and composition of the entire room. The chandelier needs every single small bulb to blaze forth in all its glory in order for the world to receive its full beauty.

God has chosen for you to be great, powerful, and steadfast. Now choose that for yourself! – Living F.I.T.

You matter. Your light is important. Commit to letting is shine brightly and brilliantly. The world needs you; free from fear, free from self-doubt, armed and ready to liberate others with your own freedom and power.

Shine Bright Like a Diamond

For the next month, I am committed to wearing my shine proudly. Just call me Lady Glitter Sparkles, seriously! I am dedicating myself to this relentlessly because I know my light can shine a path towards gracious abundance and increase. We all have greatness inherent in us and we can no longer play small. I am proud of my accomplishments and you should be too! Everyone has a light within them and it is past time to let it shine.

  1. You are Amazing Gabby. Gabby what were you thinking and feeling when you found out your hubby brought home 2 puppies instead of 1?

    1. Thanks Ileana! Girl, when he showed up at the door and Emery said puppies, like, plural, I nearly fainted! But, they’re cute together and they keep each other busy which is good. They’re growing on me but I can’t wait til they’re trained not to pee in the house! Grateful for stone and tile floors!
